NOTES:

I hope you find these readings as encouraging as I have!

I especially appreciated In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms by Dr. Laura Schlessinger. I give this book as a present to my loved ones who are also stay at home moms, and they have found the book to be just as encouraging and validating. As a SAHM, you can often feel misunderstood and under-appreciated, but after this read, your spirits will be lifted : ) Thank you Dr. Laura for always advocating for us!

The fourth book I suggested, Staying Home: From Full-Time Professional to Full-Time Parent by Darcie Sanders and Martha M. Bullen also resonated deeply with me. As I mentioned in my first post, before changing gears to become a full time SAHM for my son, I was a career-focused corporate paralegal. This book helped me weigh the pros and cons of resigning from my professional life to become a full time SAHM. It also led me to realize that while my career can wait, my son’s childhood will not. After reading it, I know in my heart that I made the right decision to become a full time stay at home mom.
